WELCOME TO THE NEW AND IMPROVED MUSIC DISCIPLE.

welcome welcome welcome welcome!
finally, after months and months of nothingness i am going to start blogging again. i should apologise but i don't think i'm even going to bother because it would be pathetic and filled with "i've been so busy and  just can't find the time!"s and thats not true. i've had plenty of time. But i was wasting away on tumblr and the dredded facebook but they're long gone.
so, a fresh new start.
first of all, i would like to say rest in peace, mike starr, who played bass for alice in chains for their album dirt. 44 years old and died of a drug overdose. tear.
right now this very second i'm listening to miley cyrus...and i have no shame about it! this was when she was an innocent young girl, but did anyone see her rather spectacular performance on saturday night live? she pointed out all her flaws and every single mistake she had ever made and simply shrugged them off.
so many respect points were gained.
but aside from that, lets talk big day out. incredibly late i know but i did go and i did indeed see edward sharpe and sia and plan b and crystal castles and iggy pop and ratatat and m.i.a and css and so many more. i apologise for the dodgy photographs, nokia's just aren't what they used to be.
she was so gorgeous and lively, and when she performed "soon we'll be found" she signed it and looked so beautiful. her voice is so strong and full. i heard people complaining after that she shouldn't have spoken so much, but she totally connected with the crowd and included. some performers just do their thing and then smile occaisonally at the audience who are screaming their heads off and putting their hearts into trying to get their attention.
i totally yelled out "COCO LOVES YOU SIA!" and she totally looked at me! i didn't time it to perfection but thats alright, at least she knows.
^^^ dodgy photo of sia painted all stripey like ^^^
edward sharpe and the magnetic zeroes were just cute. jade is the sweetest little thing ever, she was just grinning for the whole performance. i had to leave half-way through to get to crystal castles but i did hear "40 day dream" and as i left i heard "home"and sang along as loudly as possible.
crystal castles was perfection. i can't even describe it, but i'll try. everyone was bumpin' and grindin' and - this is completely true, ask anyone in that moshpit - i went in relatively dry and came out completely sopping wet. not much of it was water either. or my sweat. it was so gross but it was so much fun. whats more, alice (the singer for cc) had a broken ankle and her doctor wanted her to cancel her show but she decided to be a mega babe and trooper and came on with a broken ankle. her performance was so amazing. i can't even explain why. you semi had to be there.
^^^mah pal on the shoulders of a kind fellow at crystal castles^^^
this happened three months ago, aswell, so i'm a tad foggy on the details. but i fully recorded a couple of videos of various bands and such but my phone totally died a week later and i lost everything! except for one photo. this glorious object was one of the highlights of my day.

^^^the reason we live^^^
and last but not least iggy pop. i was there for about twenty minutes before i got absolutely mauled by the two fat biker guys in front, either side and behind me. frightening but totally worth it. he got all these people to come up on stage, i was so so jealous. he's so fit for a man of his age. still performing with no shirt - hotttttttttttttttttttttt.

^^^iggy pop being uber babin'^^^
perfect shot, may i just say. groovin and grindin his way about the stage. i so totally wish i could return to that day, it was so great. until next time, lads, and let me tell you that there most definately WILL be a next time.
